it was my understanding that the board would have gladly turned our roads over to the County in a heartbeat to avoid having to maintain them in house. However, the County wanted no part of them.
How could the County take over total maintenance of all OPA roads without ownership? Sounds like a taxpayer lawsuit to me. Why should poorer people in Worcester see their tax dollars pay for full County road maintenance in Ocean Pines, an HOA with a golf course, Yacht Club, Beach Club, etc.? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: Man you come off combative of sometimes. I believe the director‘s name was Tony Kantz or something like that. This was back around 1985-1986 when I first got involved with the road agreement between the county, and OPA. it was my understanding that the board would have gladly turned our roads over to the County in a heartbeat to avoid having to maintain them in house.
