Man you come off combative of sometimes. I believe the director‘s name was Tony Kantz or something like that. This was back around 1985-1986 when I first got involved with the road agreement between the county, and OPA. it was my understanding that the board would have gladly turned our roads over to the County in a heartbeat to avoid having to maintain them in house. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: There was a past director who was retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration. I can’t remember his name but he was of the belief that one of the reasons the county didn’t want to take over our roads was because they didn’t meet the standards. So, your info is all second hand from some past director who "....." However, who was this past director, and when did OPA ever ask Worcester County to take over all the roads in Ocean Pines? As you are so eager to always point out, the roads in OPA are owned by OPA. Are you saying some OPA board was willing to give the County ownership of OPA roads at some point? |
