Come on. The point is the County was paying for the maintenance of our roads. The roads would have, as I believe I said, turned over to the county. The county would own the road. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: it was my understanding that the board would have gladly turned our roads over to the County in a heartbeat to avoid having to maintain them in house. However, the County wanted no part of them. How could the County take over total maintenance of all OPA roads without ownership? Sounds like a taxpayer lawsuit to me. Why should poorer people in Worcester see their tax dollars pay for full County road maintenance in Ocean Pines, an HOA with a golf course, Yacht Club, Beach Club, etc.? |
