I prefer the big picture. Wandering around in the weeds can make for some interesting online discussion (and I have done so), but even without those increases you seem to have wanted or thought were needed, it looks like yet another terrific financial year overall for OPA.
The membership elected the Board of Directors. Directors set the final budget, not the GM. Not any committee. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Except for last year when the Board, at the last minute amending the agenda, passed a Budget that ignored the GM, the committees and the operations team and did not raise membership rates as advised. Not raising boat slip rates considering the long wait list and what other Marinas are charging was particularly puzzling. Marina numbers which took a hit due to weather could've been improved had the rates been raised. I seem to recall a Director saying the price of eggs went up thus arguing boat owners needed a break
