Over the past few years the boards have started to do many things outside meetings.
Why split hairs over the land and/or the building? Who cares? I suspect most association members do not. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A closed board meeting to discuss contractual/legal issues with the OPVFD with counsel present for both sides. Ask your sources if there has even been a closed meeting of just the OPA board with Bruce Bright present to discuss contractual/legal issues. We've kicked around one of them here on the Forum - whether OPA's governing documents permit OPA to take out a mortgage on property it does not own. I heard earlier in the week that the OPA Board of Directors is taking a hard line and saying OP will spend no money on a new southside fire station unless the OPVFD turns over ownership of the property to OPA. By "property" do you mean both the fire station building and the land it sits on? Perhaps just the land (not the station building) and lease the property back to OPVFD similar to the North side station. |
