Was this gravel installed to widen the driveway for parking?
The simple answer is yes because I'm not allowed to park off the driveway. The other option is on the shoulder of the road out in front of the house. Parking on the road causes a safety issue in my mind. Not sure if I can park in my yard on my grass. I think that is also allowed. Throughout OP there are countless numbers of trailers, additional cars doing likewise. With my immediate neighbors we were 4 of 6. At the time they weren't given citations. Haven't checked lately. I think CPI pushing folks to park on the street versus the safety of their lots lacks common sense. Are they supposed to enforce the DRs yes, but at what cost? I applied for the permit and variance to my parking pad with 3 inches of gravel bordered by pressured treated 4x4s that I will take up when I sell the house, thus not needing an as-is survey. I'm legal in the eyes of CPI. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I thought the "rules" from Dino were in effect, well I thunk I was wrong. The only applicable "rules" are the written DRs and the written Guidelines that are supposedly based on and supported by the DRs. Of course there is always some option for granting exceptions by AR/ECC. Josh from CPI has me thinking the four feet of gravel alongside of the existing paver driveway requires a survey.
