My personal opinion of the inspectors is just that, personal from personal experience
And I want Ocean Pines beautiful as well ! That’s why I get upset over as you called it , minor infractions being cited while major infractions remain ,some I have looked at for years. Yet they still exist! And I know how it feels to be in their position too. But as many have said, some common sense and courtesy goes a long way. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Dave, having Been one of them CPI misguided people there is always the Paul Harvey rule. The other side of the story. The Inspectors are guided by SOMEONE we know that. Everyone works for someone in an organization. The Inspectors fight a double edge sword all day no matter what task they are doing. I would have to disagree with you when you start down grading them. I am pretty sure the Inspector that I see his name the most people are talking about, I hired! ![]() They use guidelines that are for sure hard to enforce 100% without half the Community mad. In my day I had some boards that BACKED CPI for the lack of a better word. I also had some boards and GM's that worked against CPI calling things " minor " and " look the other way". The Inspectors may have things they see more than another inspector would but the goal is for a Nice, clean, well kept community that follow the HOA rules they signed up for. I have been threatened, cussed at many many times, taken to court and flipped off driving down the Parkway. I always thought to myself WHY?? Its a few simple rules very easy to follow, REALLY! I suggest anytime any OPA resident has a "Run In " with an inspector to just STOP, calm down and discuss it with them. If they act ignorant go talk to Linda because I KNOW she will handle it. Might not be what everyone wants, but it will be handled. Its petty things 95% of the time |
