Joe:
”I would think. Parking lots are not the same as roads open to the public.” Agreed. Now go look at the no parking signs placed years ago on the Parkway at Pintail Park or the no parking signs on Country Club Drive. These signs are all located on roads. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Any no parking signs at the Country Club, Swim and Racquet Club and Pintail Park were made and installed by Ocean Pines and Worcester County had nothing to do with it. The parking lots are on OPA private property and OPA can tow away cars parked there improperly, I would think. Parking lots are not the same as roads open to the public. Roads are different in that they are open to the public via a contractual agreement between OPA and Worcester County. State highway funds are not used to resurface business amenity parking lots, as far as I am aware. If Ocean Pines wanted to enforce our DRs pertaining to parking it could be done. How would Marty Clarke propose OPA do this DR parking enforcement under existing conditions? Please provide a detailed process. |
