The DRs make interesting reading:
(o) No vehicle shall be parked on any street in the Subdivision. No truck of any type shall be parked for storage overnight or longer, on any lot in the Section or Subdivision in such a manner as to be visible to the occupants of other lots in the Section or Subdivision or the users of any street, waterway, or golf course within the Section or Subdivision, unless the prior written approval of the Committee has been obtained. Amended: "8 A (o). No vehicle shall be parked on any street in the subdivision. No vehicle, with a load capacity of one (1) ton or greater, including but not limited to commercial trucks, trailer trucks, and buses shall be parked or stored overnight or longer on any lot in the Section or Subdivision in such a manner as to be visible to the occupants of other lots in the Section or Subdivision or the users of any street, waterway or golf course within the Section or Subdivision, unless the prior written approval of the Committee has been obtained." |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: re "Let the games begin" I think you are so right. Sadly, that's how this current group of BOD members or our HOA leadership see these actions; a game, a gotcha game. How can they with a straight face cite us for grass taller than 10" when the common use spaces they are clearly in charge of have already surpassed those standards. We look unkempt everywhere, particularly easements and large drainage ditches. You can already see the number of owners that aren't doing the ditches this year just out of spite. Waiting for Stu's words to take effect if it grows.... I was recently cited for straddling a driveway, half on half off, with a pickup truck. The CPI approved solution was for me to park on the ditch in front of my house... From the safety of my property to the roads edge. Now that makes sense. I built a framed parking area, made changes, paid the $385 and await their approval. Those with boat trailers, jet ski trailers and other Rec vehicles get ready.... Given that Amy Peck has found them changing DRs without vote changes, ARC rules that don't support Maryland environment rules, other actions inconsistent with our history of our community and it's taken this long to make the front page of the Gazette. If you are selling a house in OP, have the presale CPI inspection at a minimum thirty days out to react to the changes. Our landscapers and land survey folks are swamped. This [game- 1500-2000 violations since November] topic is much greater than we know.... |
