Sadly, that's how this current group of BOD members or our HOA leadership see these actions; a game, a gotcha game.
I never suggested what you wrote above. How can they with a straight face cite us for grass taller than 10" when the common use spaces they are clearly in charge of have already surpassed those standards. Surely you know the answer. The Declarations of Restrictions and the Guidelines related thereto do not apply to common property in OPA. The CPI approved solution was for me to park on the ditch in front of my house... CPI approved? The DRs forbid parking on streets in OP. Never been enforced. Seems to me you can park on the macadam road, not "on the ditch." § 21-1004 The above indicates a vehicle can be parked 100% on the paved macadam so long as there is at least 12 inches from the right wheels to the edge of the macadam or curb. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: re "Let the games begin" I think you are so right. Sadly, that's how this current group of BOD members or our HOA leadership see these actions; a game, a gotcha game. How can they with a straight face cite us for grass taller than 10" when the common use spaces they are clearly in charge of have already surpassed those standards. We look unkempt everywhere, particularly easements and large drainage ditches. You can already see the number of owners that aren't doing the ditches this year just out of spite. Waiting for Stu's words to take effect if it grows.... I was recently cited for straddling a driveway, half on half off, with a pickup truck. The CPI approved solution was for me to park on the ditch in front of my house... From the safety of my property to the roads edge. Now that makes sense. I built a framed parking area, made changes, paid the $385 and await their approval. Those with boat trailers, jet ski trailers and other Rec vehicles get ready.... Given that Amy Peck has found them changing DRs without vote changes, ARC rules that don't support Maryland environment rules, other actions inconsistent with our history of our community and it's taken this long to make the front page of the Gazette. If you are selling a house in OP, have the presale CPI inspection at a minimum thirty days out to react to the changes. Our landscapers and land survey folks are swamped. This [game- 1500-2000 violations since November] topic is much greater than we know.... |
