| Beach Patrol Life Guards are different form lifeguards at OPA for sure, but there are MANY public pools in Ocean city too short of help. The last 3 years the labor market ( ANY JOB ) has changed 180 degrees! Try to find pipe welders, millwrights, general construction labor. If you have not been around construction lately they are a shortage of workers at ANY rate of pay. Wendy's is paying 16$ and UP! OPA will have to design an inhouse program to start training life guards when they are young. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ocean City lifeguards have much more training and skills to make deep water rescues, watching far more closely, dealing with ocean currents and much more. Almost apples and oranges when compared to ocean pines pools. |
