Joe,
I couldn't comment last night since eligibility wasn't allowed to be discussed. However, I'm still not sure what will happen if Farr is deemed owner or equitable owner as of 1 Jan 2021 by a judge. Our secretary says ineligible, the BOD deliberate and rules; don't count Farr's votes. Now Farr says wait and potentially a judge says wait... How long? Until a judge rules again on eligibility? If in fact Farr is ruled eligible [owner/ equity owner] then what? We simply go back to four and count the votes? The dust this anonymous person has stirred... |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: For Immediate Release Aug. 9, 2021
Highlights from Aug. 9 OPA Board special meeting Video for the Aug. 9 Ocean Pines Association Board special meeting is now available online. The meeting was held at the Ocean Pines Golf Clubhouse. During the meeting, Board members voted 3-2-1 against a motion to rescind “the motion that was passed at the closed session meeting on July 30, 2021, regarding actions taken on the election and candidate eligibility.” Association President Larry Perrone clarified that, during a closed session on July 30, Board members voted to "continue with the election process, as governed by the bylaws and our DRs and resolutions. However, in that the secretary had deemed Mr. Farr ineligible as a candidate, his votes would not be counted.” On Monday night, Perrone, Vice President Colette Horn and Director Frank Brown voted “no” on the motion, while directors Camilla Rogers and Tom Janasek voted in favor. Director Frank Daly abstained, and Director Doug Parks was absent, because of a death in the family. Because the first motion failed, Perrone, as the meeting chair, did not recognize a second related motion. |
