Many on the forum say that the YC would be very profitable if the facility was simply closed over the winter season.
They do... based on the actual numbers reported by OPA. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I really don't know who the facility is trying to attract anymore. When my family first came here 9 years ago, the food was great, the crown was sociable, and it was an inviting place to come to, despite the 30+ year old building. Now, the prices have gone up, the quality of the food has gone down, and it is not at all welcoming when you come inside. I feel like we have to whisper at our table, because every sound echoes off the solid surfaces, and my children, being children, appear to annoy everyone around us by just carrying on normal conversations. Most everything you speak about relates to the facility and not management except for your view of the food and pricing. What are your suggestions to correct the other deficiencies? Simply changing management will not correct most of the deficiencies you have mentioned. As a candidate, I want to see all management put into the hands of competent parties that can run the each entity profitable, regardless of whether they are outsourced operators or employees. Many on the forum say that the YC would be very profitable if the facility was simply closed over the winter season. Making money at the YC does not seem to be a problem when OP is full of people for the season. Would you, if elected, support closing the YC from the end of September until the first of April? |
