I believe that the YC has an identity crisis. What is it? A banquet hall? A place for seniors to hang out until 8 on a weekend? A family restaurant? A place where people go to listen to music with no cover? I have been saying since I have been coming to OP(2001) that the association should not be in the restaurant business and that the place should be leased out and run by someone who has experience in the restaurant business. An establishment that pays no rent should not incur consistent loses. I'm sure that there are many satisfied patrons and I know that you generally hear more complaints than praises, but the management has turned off many customers who truly want to support "our yacht club." This is how a place gets a bad reputation. I think the place is a perfect restaurant for the TV show "Bar Rescue!" I hope all of the candidates in the upcoming election will look at the possibility of turning the operations over to a competent restaurant operator, one who will make us proud of our facility.
