For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So I have written the board regarding the ARC changing the guidelines on fire pits and the likelihood that that action exceeds the legal authority as provided for variances in the DR’s. from the ARC revised guidelines dated April 2024, page 21, “the declarations of restrictions in all sections of Ocean Pines prohibits outside burning of wood….” Full stop! It goes on to say that, “however ocean pines believes…” . you can believe anything that you want but there is no ability to change the DR’s unilaterally. A change of this nature requires a vote of the members in each section. so far I have received no response from the Board. |
