Ken: You have just put your finger on the underlying issue. Talk about the cart before the horse, wouldn’t you think we would have the required referendum vote first before we collect the money? I think that is called a “slush fund”? The upcoming fiscal year budget does not include funding based on approval of a referendum for a new firehouse - to the best of my knowledge. I believe Ken was just talking in generalities, not specifics with regard to any additional assessment increase, assuming the FD referendum is approved. I suspect it will be approved by an overwhelming vote. |
