For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ending year Assessment: Non-Bulkhead Water: Waterfront Bulkhead: Note that the additional cost for bulkheaded waterfront was $640. This is getting close to the cost of a basic lot assessment, just $325 shy. Bulkhead work is a major, expensive budget item. The additional cost for bulkheaded waterfront owners is up around 2/3rds of the non-bulkheaded lot assessment. How log before the bulkhead lots become double the non-bulkheaded lots? The work is basically done without competitive bids. That said, the last time OPA tried another contractor, it was a disaster. Boise Cascade set the additional waterfront lot cost at $30 back in 1969 and the interior lot assessment at $50. "We've come a.long way baby." |
