Joe:
”all our pools must be open to the general public” Sorry but I don’t buy it. I have asked for a legal opinion that backs up this nonsense for ever. Never provided. Tell me please when the indoor pool at the Parke is open to the “general public“? Thanks. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Truth be told if we operated as private pools our requirements for lifeguards could be drastically reduced. Our membership would be happier and our costs would be lower. Marty, you have brought this up numerous times. It is a strawman unless I misread Maryland law. From Maryland law: (17) “Private pool” and “private spa” mean a pool and a spa that are: Given all our pools must be open to the general public, how could OPA claim our pools are PRIVATE and not have lifeguards while complying with Maryland law? Don't mention hotel/motel pools. |
