![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Too Much Money Msg# 1183088

When I was on the Board, at the beginning of budget formation it was not to be raised and I wanted 8% it was then was raised 4% This time around it was scheduled to be raised 5% and I suggested the 16% recommended for beach parking by operations and the GM should apply to marina as well. Considering the demand and what area marinas are charging, and the improvements being made to the marina,. not raising slip ratesit is fiscally irresponsible. If you look at the audited year end financials for 21 and 22 in Aquatics and see the increases for propane, chemicals, gas, electricity and wages, not raising aquatics memberships is irresponsible. Let's pray for a hot and sunny Summer. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not capturing that revenue gives 87 people a break at the expense of everyone else. Exactly how much more was recommended for slip rentals? I do not disagree with your premise in general but what actual impact are you talking about? The supposed $12,000 in Aquatics seemed nothing worth getting excited over. |
