How about half of it or about $90? Expecting to blow through $1.6 million between now and May 1st, above what is budgeted is ridiculous.
Has the budget been adjusted so we don’t have such an overage next year? Asking basically for the same yearly fee should mean another $1 million plus. Will they give us this year’s $190 reduction next year after its realized? We should, based on the ‘what has been realized v what we have on 30 April’ be reduced by last year’s overage by that logic. The budget already included sticking more money in reserves. Is Ortt getting another huge bonus? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Is there anywhere in the budget document one can find what this $1,532,000 is allocated for? Not to my knowledge Has anyone explained for what purpose OPA would want to hold on to $1.5 million of already collected assessment dollars? Not to my knowledge. To the question you raised early in the budget process, why are we increasing membership dues given such a large surplus? In my view, only because four or so people on the so-called Strategic Planning Committee want higher amenity fees. You have a good memory. I hope Lakernick pushes for at least $100 assessment reduction. |
