Bill, the board should set a budget each year to do what is needed, all publicly discussed and approved in the budget. No one should have a problem with that. I sure do not.
My objection is the board taking or keeping excess funds without telling association members what the board will spend the money on. As for the looks of the community, a good start might be enforcing the rampant DR violations with multiple trash cans stored at the front door. An easy task for much less than $1.6 million. |
