I believe your take is incorrect. Board elections are not public office elections. You are confused perhaps in thinking they are the same. They are corporate board elections. The Maryland law and the contents of the Guidelines are about public office elections. See post from Trummel. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The DRs prohibit signs. Okay, I found it in section 8. (g) of my DR. Without a guideline saying the ECC/ARC allows board candidate signs, they are not allowed. Isn't that what 600.3, J. of the ARC Guidelines does? Allows candidate and referendum signs as long as they comply with restrictions stated. And considering ARC went through all the time and effort to detail these restrictions, leaving out getting written permission from ARC suggests gives it tacit approval for election signs as long as they are in accordance with 600.3, J. That's my take. |
