The DRs prohibit signs.
Okay, I found it in section 8. (g) of my DR. Without a guideline saying the ECC/ARC allows board candidate signs, they are not allowed. Isn't that what 600.3, J. of the ARC Guidelines does? Allows candidate and referendum signs as long as they comply with restrictions stated. And considering ARC went through all the time and effort to detail these restrictions, leaving out getting written permission from ARC suggests gives it tacit approval for election signs as long as they are in accordance with 600.3, J. That's my take. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I can't find reference to a permit in my DRs nor can I find it in section 600.3, J. of the ARC Guidelines. What specifically are you referencing? Think about it! The DRs prohibit signs. Without a guideline saying the ECC/ARC allows board candidate signs, they are not allowed. Any signs not specifically granted an exception are not allowed. Thus, a lot owner wishing to have a board candidate sign must apply for a permit/authority/exception to have one. At least, that’s how I see it. |
