There will always be a set group of residents who vote down anything that they don't use or that is for the future.
You should not think so poorly of your fellow association members. The YC passed the referendum easily. The Community Center passed easily. My suggestion would be for the board to offer 1 million. I would need to know a lot more about how OPA would propose to use the property. It is way too expensive to be used as parkland. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A referendum is expensive. A referendum takes a lot of time (not good in today's real estate market). There will always be a set group of residents who vote down anything that they don't use or that is for the future. To hold a referendum on a 200,000 price difference seems counter productive. My suggestion would be for the board to offer 1 million. |
