Joe,
I believe it is wrong to denigrate anyone publically in any media. Or in public meetings or in private for that matter I believe in this principal. If I have wronged or think I have wronged someone I am to go to them and try to work it out. If I am wrong I will apologize and ask forgiveness. If it can't be resolved I can ask a couple others to meet with me and the other party to try and resolve it. If we can't I will let it rest and move on. If I believe I have been wronged I will go to that person and explain my concerns and give them opportunity to correct the wrong through reconciliation and forgiveness. In the situation with OPA Board personalities I find the recent comments unacceptable, disappointing and they reflect poorly on those involved and us as a community. Using the principal described above I would like to see/hear public apologies from Directors Parks and Trendic. As to Director Parks remaining as President I believe the current Board can and should address this. There is much work the Board should be doing rather than fighting with each other, resorting to name calling and inappropriate criticisms. I will leave at that. Steve |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Steve, as a candidate for the Ocean Pines Board of Directors, do you feel it is appropriate that OPA President Doud Parks continue to hold the office after calling a fellow director a disgusting vulgarity in the Bayside Gazette? |
