Joe,
I will follow the rules. But I believe it is important for the newly elected Diectors to establish these expectations and get confirmation they are asked to elect the new officers. As far as I am concerned the candidates could meet and draft this document next week. That might put Ted in an awkward position, and we would have input from three candidates that will not be elected, but what’s the harm in doing so? I like Slobodan and Doug. I value both of their inputs and work on behalf of the homeowners. I don’t always agree with their methods. Perhaps my plan will keep both on the Board where their talents and insights will be helpful to the new Directors. Maybe it won’t. It’s my best shot given the cards on the table. Frank |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not to waffle or dance, but I do not think that changing leadership within 60 days of an election that will, in all probability, change the majority thinking of the board, makes sense. Frank, I appreciate your willingness to address a controversial issue. Leadership? We need leadership, if only for the next six weeks. I can only ask if this remarkably crude comment by Doug Parks about a fellow board members does not justify his immediate replacement as president, what on earth would ever justify doing so? How low must board members go, especially the Association president, before ANY action is taken? If I am elected I plan on calling on the other three newly elected Board members to join me in an open working meeting to draft our written expectations regarding the conduct and methods of operation that we expect from the officers that we will be electing. I may misunderstand what you meant, but from the moment election results are confirmed at the Annual Meeting those elected are immediately sitting board members. No meeting of the four elected can be held, public invited or not, to discuss OPA business. All seven board members must be involved in any meeting. |
