Joe,
My point is the newly elected Directors, whoever they are, should make their expectations clear to anybody considering being an officer. Maybe meeting would be a mistake. But expecting change without asking for it might be a bigger mistake. The last comment should have said ‘working on the Board’ not on the Board. Frank |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: But I believe it is important for the newly elected Diectors to establish these expectations and get confirmation they are asked to elect the new officers. Forgive me, but your comments on this are extremely troubling. Newly elected candidates, especially a board majority, should not even be talking about meeting as a newly elected group to talk about anything related to OPA. As far as I am concerned the candidates could meet and draft this document next week. That might put Ted in an awkward position, and we would have input from three candidates that will not be elected, but what’s the harm in doing so? That would violate no law or bylaw I am aware of, but I believe it would be a major mistake for all the candidates deciding to do this. I like Slobodan and Doug. I value both of their inputs and work on behalf of the homeowners. I don’t always agree with their methods. Perhaps my plan will keep both on the Board where their talents and insights will be helpful to the new Directors. Now you trouble me more. Perhaps I misunderstand what you mean. Your words indicate you would want to have a PLAN among four newly elected board members to keep Trendic and Parks on the board. What makes you think at this point in time, a little over a month from the election, that either Parks or Trendic will be off the board shortly after the election unless this newly elected group keeps them on the board? |
