it's heart breaking to see what some of them have become. I think most of us feel exactly the same where about where we grew up; I'm just not sure how change is good. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I've always heard that if you were raised in Baltimore, you never really leave there. Unfortunately, the Baltimore that I once loved now exists mostly in my memories. My wife manages to drag me back periodically, but the only draw for me is the chance to visit with our daughter. I don't venture very far from the immediate area where she lives. Many of the places that I enjoyed are long gone and some of the neighborhoods I knew in my youth aren't somewhere I want to visit today...it's heart breaking to see what some of them have become. |
