Section 25: Chit Chat Subject: How I Remember Baltimore Msg# 769350

Aliceanna Street is where my grandparents lived when he was born; Erdman Avenue and the Little Italy area. He left Baltimore at 17 and joined the Navy. He used to tell me about deliverying the newspapers and helping out at all of the restaurants. He spent alot of time on Eastern Avenue and Patterson Park, playing fast pitch softball. I have no idea though what team he was on but he played in Virginia when I was a teenager and he sure looked pretty good to me. I'm sure he must have known some of the people that are still around. He had good memories of Baltimore from his childhood as I'm sure you and the other people here on the forum have also. It's great to hear the stories. Linda |
