Ray, on an assumption you are referring to the original board letter wherein the board asked legislators for equity for Ocean Pines but did not ask for any percentage or amount, have you forgotten the February letter from the board to state legislators? It was made public. In the letter OPA president Dave Stevens said the board official position was to have the legislature remove Ocean City's and Berlin's percentage of slots impact dollars and give it all to the county. Stevens even said in the letter that he wanted to make it perfectly clear that OPA was not asking for any percentage of the money. Are you now seriously trying to take credit for this proposed legislation that would provide 10% to OPA? If so, your comments are even more preposterous than I first imagined. Next thing we know Judy Boggs will be taking credit. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, You still don't understand how things work around here. If you and your friends want to take credit for this new "porposed amendment" go ahead. The fact is that that has been the plan for the last 8 months and remember that when an if anything comes to us, it will be in about two years. Ray Unger |
