The covered or screened idea is pretty commonplace down here. Hi Bob, I don't think I have ever seen so many BLUE tarps anywhere else than are in Ocean Pines. That is something that really makes the place look super tacky. Wouldn't you think people who drape their belongings could figure out that brown or dark green would be less of an assault on the eyes???? Or maybe they might build a garage in the back yard to hide their stuff? Nancy |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The covered or screened idea is pretty commonplace down here. Back when Rod Murray was the OP Police Chief he informed me that in OP placing a cover over a vehicle in the yard (didn't care about with or without tags) was sufficent to keep it from being cited as abandoned or junk. He also stated that while parking on the street was generally considered a no-no...the police didn't bother people who were parked there for a limited time to attend social gatherings, etc. It appears attitudes about such things have changed over the years. |
