Interesting. The DRs for most OPA sections state: (h) No stripped down, partially wrecked, or junk motor vehicle, or sizeable part thereof, shall be permitted to be parked on any street in the Section or Subdivision or on any lot. Based on what you posted from the county and the language of the DRs it would appear the county can regulate boat trailers and other non-motor vehicles, but OPA can only regulate motor vehicles in terms of current plates. Also, keep in mind the DRs predate the current county rules. One solution for OPA might be to "off-load" all vehicle registration issues by reporting any violations to the county for enforcement. This still does not address the issue of CPI inspectors going on private property to look for registration tags when none are visible from the road. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Here is how Worcester County handles the junk vehicle definition. I have copied only a portions of that code as there are exceptions given to junk yards and time limits to remove the vehicles etc. as well as additional definitions.
