Joe, One more post on this to you. There will be public hearings related to any local impact grants before such grants are disbursed. That is the time to "flood" our commissioners with letters, emails, and a huge attendance if necessary. That is the time to have all of our ducks in line to put pressure on our elected leaders should they not do what is right. That is the time to make certain that the press is knowledgeable and not knee jerking with their personal beliefs. Also, as I stated before, you should not be so outraged because someone does not agree with you on this issue; you should be outraged that OC and Berlin have been promised something that they will not be able to justify. The county can, and will, use the slots funds as it pleases within the framework of the slots bill. To think there will suddenly be some fervor among a majority of Worcester County commissioners to throw money at OPA is wishful thinking -- at best.
