In their opinion the Commissioners made their best efforts to accommodate the recommendations. Sorry, but OP gets nothing. If for no other political reason than the County has higher priorities. The majority of individuals with no knowledge of politics and who don't read such legislation in detail looking for words such as MAY, MUST, SHALL, SHOULD, BEST EFFORTS and other such language, most likely believe this legislation is great. Careful reading would show otherwise. |

The county can, and will, use the slots funds as it pleases within the framework of the slots bill. To think there will suddenly be some fervor among a majority of Worcester County commissioners to throw money at OPA is wishful thinking -- at best. To think the county will give OPA 10% of all slots income mandated for the county, OC, and Berlin combined isn't just wishful thinking, it is nonsensical.
