Have you called either your delegate or senator and asked them to file a bill to include Ocean Pines, since they were in error when they left us out? None of the three board members will even say whether Mathias was asked if he would consider introducing the legislation. Backroom politics at its worst when that fundamental information is not provided to the public. Since the board has failed lot owners yet again, some of us are looking into a loose coalition to push Mathias. I hope you will join us. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, Have you called either your delegate or senator and asked them to file a bill to include Ocean Pines, since they were in error when they left us out? If not...you are but one of the guilty constituents who are not making his/her voice heard. I called both of them just after the Special Session and expressed my wishes. Each and every person who even CARES should call. Politicians are elected to represent the wishes of the voters.....or they don't get re-elected. All you need to do is call or write to them. A good many Ocean Pines people live full time on the Western Shore. They have contacts with legislators where the votes are. WE DO MATTER! WE DO HAVE INFLUENCE. DO YOU REMEMBER THE CLAM DREDGING BILL? The Western Shore legislators made that bill pass....even though the Eastern Shore guys were against it. If Stoltzfus and Mathias cross-file the bill...it can get though with help from the other side of the water. BUT THEY NEED TO HEAR FROM THE CONSTITUENCY. Nancy |
