The owner of a parcel of land which was zoned as agricultural and situated directly north of the North Gate and contiguous to Ocean Pines asked the county to let him change the existing zoning to accommodate a small commercial center. Ocean Pines vocally opposed the zoning change. If you were on the Board, would you have voted to have the Board get involved with stopping the proposed zoning change? The Sports Core sale? Safeway? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ed: The owner of a parcel of land which was zoned as agricultural and situated directly north of the North Gate and contiguous to Ocean Pines asked the county to let him change the existing zoning to accommodate a small commercial center. Ocean Pines vocally opposed the zoning change. The owner lost his re zoning case and immediately, in compliance with his agricultural zoning, opened a very visible, not to mention annoying pig farm.
