Section 25: Chit Chat Subject: PIG FARM Msg# 523645

Ed: The owner of a parcel of land which was zoned as agricultural and situated directly north of the North Gate and contiguous to Ocean Pines asked the county to let him change the existing zoning to accommodate a small commercial center. Ocean Pines vocally opposed the zoning change. The owner lost his re zoning case and immediately, in compliance with his agricultural zoning, opened a very visible, not to mention annoying pig farm. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I SEEM TO RECALL THAT, SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THERE WAS WHAT WAS, PRESUMABLY, A "PIG FARM" LOCATED JUST NORTH OF THE ROUTE #90 OFF RAMP ON RT. 589. WAS THIS, IN FACT, A "PIG FARM"? I'VE BEEN TOLD IT WAS A FORM OF PROTEST BY SOMEONE. DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE STORY? |
