I agree. We occasionally get a below 55 type on the board but the volume of business and meetings discourages anyone who has to work for a living. Which brings up a larger question....are all those meetings and take home workbooks really necessary???? I'll bet the workload could be cut in half if the board put its mind to it. I sat on the board of the Singer Company for a couple of years and never put in the time that Marty Clarke put into his board tenure. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think that at least half the trouble this community gets itself into is due to the fact that too many people believe it is a retiremnt community Look at the general makeup of the board over the years. Heavy on the retirees or might-as-well-be retirees. |
