"not strictly a retirement community"???? NOT a retirement community. As I've posted before, anyone who thinks so can check with one of the drivers of those big yellow vehicles with the flashing lights and stop signs. I think that at least half the trouble this community gets itself into is due to the fact that too many people believe it is a retiremnt community and want free golf, covered pools, golf cart trails, free meeting space,etc. Other than that quibble, I completely agree with your comments on the golf cart suggestion. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Unfortunately, our roads do not have shoulders (ditches, yes) and I do not see how a motor vehicle and a golf cart could possibly fit side by side. I think this would be a great danger. This is not strictly a "retirement" community - you have walkers, joggers, bikers, scooters (which I'm not sure are all legal), and lots of children with which to contend as a motor vehicle driver. Neither could I see a line of traffic on the parkway behind a golf cart going 30 mph. Not a pretty sight!! |
