Joe:
”The board needs absolute priority on some space.” The board has priority on all spaces. They just don’t exercise it. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Dual use for board meetings there has utilized some idol space, for dual usage, a good conservative practice. How can a boardroom be of use if it can also be booked for other uses? The board never knows when it will need to meet. A good sound system and very important video system such as at the County is important. The video is probably the most important today, and requiring an IT person to attend every meeting and setting up loads of video equipment to move around, with cameras on tripods mounted on top of tables, and terrible sound for those in the room has become ridiculous. You would not know. I have not seen you at a board meeting in many years, if ever. That "conservative practice" is what destroyed the usefulness in many ways of the Assateague Room for board meetings. The board needs absolute priority on some space. A dedicated boardroom is a minor item in terms of the overall OPA budget, and OPA is in-perpetuity. |
