How can a boardroom be of use if it can also be booked for other uses? The board never knows when it will need to meet. A good sound system and very important video system such as at the County is important. The video is probably the most important today, and requiring an IT person to attend every meeting and setting up loads of video equipment to move around, with cameras on tripods mounted on top of tables, and terrible sound for those in the room has become ridiculous. You would not know. I have not seen you at a board meeting in many years, if ever. 

That "conservative practice" is what destroyed the usefulness in many ways of the Assateague Room for board meetings.
