| I have a question. OPVFD means volunteer. Do we have paid firefighters or just paid EMS personnel, which most volunteer fire companies have? I was married to a VFC person for many years, and none of them spent the night at the firehouse. Just curious about the inner workings of OP. It wasn't until paid EMS were added that sleeping quarters were needed. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: How does what you posted relate to what infrastructure is needed into the future? Another bay? Better separate sleeping facilities for men and women, space to handle all paid personnel (likely coming at some point in the future) and all the other issues pointed out by the OPVFD when all this began with an engineering estimate of around $8 million?? |
