Perhaps we have not yet had the reason to post real time emergency information, but when the occasion comes we will be grateful.
Grateful? For what? A sign with emergency info that no one can see unless they get in a car and drive to the sign? A state of the art text emergency system is what is needed for that. The County already has one in place. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I actually have a different opinion on this than most. I see the electronic signs as a quick reminder of things that are happening. things not to be explained in detail by the signs but something that you might want to follow up on through other sources of information. I do not find them distracting any more than any other sign along any highway. I believe them to serve a useful purpose. I certainly favor them as opposed to the old analog ones. Perhaps we have not yet had the reason to post real time emergency information, but when the occasion comes we will be grateful. |
