I was under the impression that the board could approve hiring a contractor to resolve the issues and bill the homeowner for the cost.
Boards can do so but seem reluctant. Some 30 or so years ago, a board voted to replace siding, roof, and other work on a Clubhouse Drive property. If my memory is correct the homeowner may have gone to court but Joe Moore, representing OPA, prevailed. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What’s more disconcerting is the number of outstanding cases sent to legal, many over a year old. I was under the impression that the board could approve hiring a contractor to resolve the issues and bill the homeowner for the cost. I assume most of those violations are for more serious matters. Am I mistaken? |
