For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I hope with the referendum the board explains exactly how much our dues will go up. And stick with that number. Any increase will depend on how long it takes to repay the money. At $3 million, you do the math for any time period and interest rate. Not saying it is a good thing, but even at $3 million, OPA will be owning a $5 million or so structure at a cost of $3 million. What is the concern about this? Do you oppose the project or what? Will Marty be telling us about the “Taj Mahal“ of fire stations?
From Feb 2021: The Ocean Pines Board on Saturday voted 6-1 to approve the fiscal year 2021-2022 budget and set the basic annual assessment at $996. Four years later the assessment is less and some still complain. |
