That said, Ocean Pines has generated over $6 Million Dollars of surplus to budget over the past 5 years which I suspect a great deal is in a slush fund for a not yet approved firehouse.
Maybe I am incorrect, but hasn't the GM explained where the “favorability” has gone? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: I think you are correct when you say that there is no money in the budget for the yet to be approved firehouse. That said, Ocean Pines has generated over $6 Million Dollars of surplus to budget over the past 5 years which I suspect a great deal is in a slush fund for a not yet approved firehouse. ”I suspect it will be approved by an overwhelming vote” If the final price and plans are reasonable for our “needs” I agree. However, if this project turns into another over priced “wants” like OPA is famous for then probably not. Marty |
