![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Pecuniary Pickleballers Protest Msg# 1198768

I can't imagine that the protesters on this thread could protest that the outside friends pay a bit more.
During the Wednesday meeting, the pickleballers said the proposed day rates for outsiders were perfectly acceptable. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Two thoughts. It has been mentioned earlier in this post and I've said it at least twice. Non OPA residents should be paying more since our assessments pay to build/maintain the facilities. If increases to the daily and monthly fees for outsiders are not in the new schedule, then all OPA members have a legitimate gripe. I can't imagine that the protesters on this thread could protest that the outside friends pay a bit more. ![]() Those original courts were built around 40 years ago as Joe said. I built them as part of the Second Turnover Agreement which I negotiated with the association. Much of the area has a high water table just like most of the Pines. It cost about 50% more than forecast to build all of the courts. The HarTru courts breathe, the hard courts don't. During wet seasons, the hydrostatic pressure builds and cracks result. Just like an empty swimming pool. |
