![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Board Interacts With Reporter Msg# 1183881

The disagreement is newsworthy, but it had already played out. Those last two emails were more personal than substantive. She got what she needed for the story plus came away with an angle I hope she'll pursue in future pieces. Horn suggested that Parks was bringing up previous instances of threats/bullying and presenting them as if they were new. In the reporter's place, I'd be investigating the veracity of Parks' claims as well as OP's response -- elsewhere, if I remember correctly, Farr wrote something about the board having referred a case to "legal," which suggests they were concerned about reputation and not about a person or property being harmed. Is that what Parks meant by "threat?" I also hope she'll pursue the DIFG group's claims that their signs were targeted by the HOA as well as the dubious claim of vandalism that temporarily closed the skate park. Are Parks and his alliles targeting the group? And if so, is it to protect the HOA, or are they just rallying around their friend? |
