Joe,
I voted on the internet. I thought it was a good idea. After doing the research for the election committee I changed my mind. With all the things that can go wrong with the transfer of info and NO WAY to do a fault free recount plus the possibility of hacking or poor software code or just a screwup at the vender which they would not tell us about and we could not check, we would just have to depend on there word. And no FIRST PERSON paper trail plus the extra cost, it is not something ready for prime time yet. Also at least 6 different countries have said internet voting did NOT increase participation. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The fact that there were late no late ballots in 2022 I believe is because of electronic voting.. The above makes no sense and is pure speculation. Only around 850 or so voted via INTERNET. |
