Is that correct? I recall a vote confirmation when I cast the internet (caps not included In addition to all of the weakness articles, reports and so on, I'd like to see reports of actual internet voting failures, why the failure occurred and what was done as a result. Jim Trummel |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Susan, thanks for you comments. In general, I agree. I am not sure there was any cost saving with INTERNET voting. The ballot package must still be mailed. Return postage cost is trivial. Also, keep in mind a full manual recount of paper ballots only took about three hours. It may have been less time than the scan operation that was off by 1000 or so votes. The uninformed keep saying there was nothing wrong with the INTERNET vote count. That might be true, but OPA has no way whatsoever to verify any INTERNET vote count. None. |
